Your Plumber apprentice is cooking on gas!

Matthew Brocklehurst, a graduate of the plumbing apprenticeship scheme, has recently advanced his training by becoming gas qualified.

Matthew works with the Your Plumber service in Bournemouth and Poole, and during 2015 qualified from a two-year apprenticeship scheme that he started and completed with Your Plumber. Having spent six months in full time employment, Matthew was keen to advance his learning and progress his career.

The natural progression was to undertake gas training, especially since large parts of Matthew’s apprenticeship were spent working with one of our gas fitters where he already acquired a good understanding of the requirements for being a gas engineer.

Your Plumber is a business committed to the learning and development of our people and we were only too pleased to be able to support Matthew in undertaking further training. After a combination of classroom and practical training, Matthew successfully passed his final exams to become a fully accredited and qualified gas engineer.

Since qualifying, Your Plumber has arranged for Matthew to attend courses with several different boiler manufacturers to further enhance his learning and understanding about each specific boiler in order to become expert enough at dealing with boiler faults and breakdowns to the standard expected for his employment with Your Plumber.
